Building Home
In this program, we match people who are newly housed from homelessness with a peer who has the same lived experience, and a case manager.. Each peer assists their client with understanding how to follow rules, how to be a good neighbor, and provides a social and community connection, so that their second chance at housing can be a success! The case manager helps them with the necessary paperwork, compliance with their lease, and connection to resources to prevent evictions. Our staff and our dedicated volunteers help people in all three programs stabilize, achieve self-sufficiency, and rebuild their lives during the challenging and critical period(s) of reentry and/or returning to a home. With support and advocacy that can begin in jail, transition to the streets, and continue to a stable home – our clients gain the benefit of champions in the community and can make profound changes in their lives.
